Recently, District 5950 offered $1,500 to Clubs that choose to hold a Membership Drive Event to grow membership. We chose to take advantage of that offer. This will be an informal event including members and guests who are potential new members. There will be appetizers and your first beverage will be on the Club. This is an opportunity for potential new members to learn a little more about Rotary, visit with some of our wonderful members, and ask questions. We will have a very short presentation offering basic information on our Club. What we do, where we meet, what being a member means, what it costs to become a member, and information about Rotary International. To receive the reimbursement, we must add 2 new members to our Club by the end of June. PLEASE give some thought to anyone you have talked to about Rotary in the last 6 months to a year. Invite them to this event! We would love to see 10 - 15 potential new members attend as guests of Rotarians. Please reach out to Jesse Schweiss or myself if you have any questions. Thank you!!

Your Social Committee has put together what we hope will be a spectacular day of baseball and fun. We will be taking a coach bus to Minneapolis to attend a 1:10pm baseball game at Target Field on June 7th. You are welcome to invite a guest or multiple guests to join you for the day. Kids are welcome! The Rotary Club will pay $50 per ticket for you and 1 guest. You will be responsible for the full price of additional tickets. We will reserve space for our group on the Truly Outdoor Patio. Tickets for the Truly Outdoor Patio are $94 and include a $30 voucher for food and drink to be used anywhere inside the stadium. Your responsibility is for the amount over the $50 that the Club pays. The amount due per attendee is $43.00. This amount is due immediately. We need to make a deposit for the reservation on the Truly Patio, and will need to pay in advance for the tickets. If you register and later decide not to go, you will not be refunded for the $43, as we will be charged for the tickets prior to the game date. The bus will leave Willmar around 9am, and will leave Spicer at about 9:30am. We will be dropped off in the vicinty of Target Field around 11:30. There are many places to eat within walking distance of Target Field, and we will have plenty of time to grab lunch somewhere. Target Field will also be open by the time we arrive if you prefer to just go in right away. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about the event. |
